My name is Clare. You know me as Clare9
in the chat room. Original nic name eh?? I was on vacation last week so I
hadn't had a chance to write until now. I am a 30 year old female adoptee recently
reunited. I searched for about 2+ years. Just in the last year really
seriously. I had been curious about my bmom since I knew what adoption meant.
I found my bmom on August 5, 1999. I wrote her a letter and she responded with a 13
page letter with 6 pictures included! We met in person on September 5, 1999. She is
a beautiful and strong woman. I am so glad and relieved to know her. My many
numerous questions have and will be answered. She is very open and tells me to ask
anything I want. My search was a little tricky since I was born in Illinois and
adopted In Cincinnati, Ohio. I was able to obtain copies of my adoption decree and
petition for adoption simply by writing to the probate court in Cincinnati. They had
my birth name blacked out, but when you angle it to the light it shows through! Once
I had her maiden name it wasn't very hard to find her! My parents are and have
always been very open to me searching. As a matter of fact my parents and my bmom
are meeting next month! My parents want to thank her in person! I am truly
very blessed. Believe me when I say I don't take that for granted! Keep
searching..........it's worth it! If I can help anyone let me know!
