Alyooop

Hi and welcome to Adoption Adoptee Issues Member Page. You are about to meet Alyooop, or Aly as she's known to most. Aly is funny, loving and kind, always having a kind word or a hug for someone in need. If you need someone to talk to, Aly is the one to find!

My name is Alexis, I go by Alyooop in chat.  I am a 30 year old female adoptee.  I have been married to a wonderful man named Mike for 9 years and we have a beautiful little girl who is 3 years old and the light of our lifes.I was placed with my parents when I was 6 years old and officially adopted when I was 10 years old.  I am a twin in one of two twins sets.  The state kept each set of twins together.  I was taken away from my birth parents when I was 18 months old and at that time my other 6 brothers and sisters were taken away as well.  The older children remained in foster care until they were of legal age to be on their own.  My brother and I were in 2 foster homes and a childrens home before our placement.  The other set of twins in our group were in 3 foster homes before their placement.
In Oct of 1998 my birth parents found me through my registery entries in my search for my siblings.  They were never forthcoming with any information on why we were taken away other than stating the state had stolen us from them.  In Feb of 1999 the rest of the birth family, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandmother, siblings found us.  Our birth parents never told them that we had been found.  On the night that the other birth family found us our uncle who is pretty much the keeper of the facts in the family was threatened and told not to talk to us.  At the same time my birth father sent a threatening letter to me about not talking to them or believing anything the rest of the birth family had to say.  I have not had contact with my birth parents since this happened.   In March of 1999 we found our sister, Mary, she's in the other group of twins!  We were all so happy, including my Mom, she had searched for them and tried everyway possible to keep us kids in contact when we were growing up, however, their Mom decided that she didn't want any contact with us.  Then on Mothers day I recieved a call from a man asking for me by my maiden name.  Guess who?!  You guessed it, Tom, the brother in that set of twins.  He had just gotten his letter from the soical security letter forwarding department!  We were and still are all very excited.
I went to met my birth family that lives in Pa on August 7th,  I was there for 5 of the quickest passing days imaginable.  It was during my time there that I found out that there are 2 other siblings that my birth mom placed for adoption at birth.  The information on these two is kind of sketchy.  So I'm going to post it here.  Because ofcourse the more exposure a search has the more likely you are to find, our that's my theory atleast.
Information on the siblings is.  1) Born in Dubois hospital, Dubois, Pa sometime in 1962.  Unfortuneately this is all the information we have on this one. 2) Born in Dubois hospital, Dubois, Pa either June of 1964 or 1965, this was a boy.  Our birth family knows who the birth father of this one is and has kept track of him so that when we find him we can give him that information.  For both of these children the birth mom's name is going to be either Mary McMahon or Mary Lingenfelter, depending on what name she used.  If this is you or sounds like it could be someone you know please contact either the
email for the site or me directly by going to the members email address and clicking on my name.
